Weathersfield was the first major subdivision in Schaumburg and built in over 20 phases! The first phase is the W section which is at Walnut and Schaumburg Roads. All the street names in the section start with a W. Construction began on the W section in the late 1950's.

The builder of Weathersfield was Alfred Campanelli and he was from Massachusetts. Many of the names of the streets in Weathersfield are pulled from that region of the country.
