2026 Hit Its Peak

The Chicagoland housing market has hit its peak for the year. Prices are now trending downward and will continue to do so until we get to spring of 2027.

The graph below shows showing activity on its way down as usual for this time of year. This will continue until the end of the year.

Because showing activity is going down, so are closed sales. This doesn't mean it is going to be hard to sell your home but it does mean that getting what another property sold for in spring / summer may not be possible,
