Weathersfield North in Schaumburg
The Weathersfield North subdivision sits on a 40-acre piece of land consisting of condos and townhomes in Schaumburg. It is located north of Higgins Road, west of Plum Grove Road and south of Golf Road. This land was owned by Campanelli since 1979 and the plan was to have a condominium development. However, due to the inability to achieve their goals, Campanelli sold the remaining unfinished development to Town and Country Homes.
There were 120 condos built by Campanelli Builders and 184 townhouses built by Town & Country Homes of Willowbrook in the 1980s.
These homes were created with quality in mind and are referred to as Energy Smart Houses. After meeting certain energy efficient criteria, the homes were recognized as being categorized this way by Commonwealth Edison. The designs were created to conserve energy from the foundation up and built to keep heat inside in winter and outside in summer among other things.
At the time, many of the buyers at this subdivision were employed in the nearby Woodfield area office complexes so the proximity was of great convenience to them because it was just a short walk away.
Weathersfield North is in a great spot in Schaumburg. It is close to all kinds of shopping, dining, entertainment, and the popular Woodfield Mall. Nearby is also the highway, Busse Woods, the Schaumburg Golf Club and much more.
